Broadband provider toob raises over £5425 for City Catering

We are thrilled to announce that broadband provider and UK City of Culture Premier Partner, toob have successfully raised over £5425 for City Catering Southampton.

toob have been donating £25 for every order placed. The initiative, which started in February was created after toob acknowledged there has been a visible increase in people accessing support in order to get food for themselves and their family.

Their fantastic fundraising efforts will have a significant impact on our ability to keep adapting to Covid and its challenges. Our Charitable Impact Manager Jessica Clasby-Monk spoke about her delight on the success of the campaign:

"The impact of Covid has been felt by so many organisations and charities, and we were delighted when toob offered to run a fundraiser for us. To have their support has been a real boost, but also will help us continue to adapt our services to Covid - funding disposables to aid classroom-dinning in schools, PPE for our staff to keep school and care meals teams safe, or to fuel our Cooking at Home program, for example, to continue to make sure everyone has access to good, hot food".

Nick Parbutt, CEO and Founder of toob, said:

“City Catering Southampton is one of those charities that have stepped up to the challenge and have helped to improve access to meals to school children and vulnerable adults in our local community since the first lockdown in March last year.

I am very happy we could provide our support to City Catering in this challenging time and would encourage others with the means to do so as well. I can’t think of a more worthy cause than providing nutritional meals to school children and vulnerable adults in the community at this time.”
