Flavouring water

Water is really good for you, for many reasons. There are different ways to make it a more tasty drink without relying on squash. Here are a few ideas from the City Catering team!

  • Add slices of fresh citrus fruits, like lemons, limes, and oranges. Alternatively, you could also add a squeeze of any of them in the water for a tasty drink.

  • Add strawberry slices in to the water for a sweet summer flavour.

  • Cucumber slices and fresh mint for a refreshingly cool drink.

  • Pour a splash of juice. Any fruit juice can be a good base flavour for water, but tart juices, like cranberry, grape, and apple, are especially delicious. Use juices that with no added sugars.

  • Make it a bubbly drink by using sparkling water instead. Make flavoured ice cubes using your favourite no added sugar fruit juice and add them to still or sparkling water. You can also freeze satsuma segments and pop them in the water for a fun change.
