  • 170g butter/ margarine

  • 265g plain flour

  • 90g caster sugar (plus extra for sprinkling)

  • ½ tsp cinnamon

METHOD:

1.     In a large bowl, cream the margarine & sugar together until smooth.

2.     Add in the flour & cinnamon and mix until it comes together.

3.     Turn into a work surface dusted with flour and gently roll until it is 1/2cm thick.

4.     Cut into biscuits, ideally using a Christmas shaped cookie cutter and place into a baking tray.

5.     Place in a preheated oven at 170°C and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until pale golden-brown.

6.     Sprinkle with sugar immediately after removing them from the oven. Let the biscuits cool down on the tray.

TIPS:

✔ Best made with butter.

✔ Using Christmas cookie cutters will make all the difference, but if you do not have cutters just use a small cup or a glass upside down to cut the biscuits.

✔ They will keep well for 3-4 days in an airtight container.

✔ Perfect biscuits to leave for Santa!
